Building Community: Growing the Heart of Our Campus

The New Campus Community Center

SAA’s administration, board of trustees, and constituency-at-large have approved the construction of a new, larger, much-needed multi-functional “Campus Community Center” (CCC) – situated in the heart of our campus and replacing the old gym and adjacent “temporary” computer lab.

The CCC will:

  • More easily bring campus and community together
  • Include a new auditorium for vespers, programs, graduation, alumni and other campus and community events
  • Have an indoor/outdoor cafeteria and commercial kitchen that will permit expanded use for campus and community events, fostering community and mission outreach
  • Help students learn through new classrooms and lecture halls
  • Enhance student physical education and athletics with fitness facilities and better sporting venues
  • Better accommodate SAA’s anticipated increased enrollment
  • Reduce SAA’s current utility costs through energy efficiency
  • Expand and dedicate space for music programs including new and larger band, choir, and hand-bell rooms, instructor studios and student practice areas
  • Double the size of the old structure to accommodate a broader scope of events
  • Have built-in seating, concession areas, temperature control, enhanced audio system and acoustics, larger restroom facilities and other amenities to improve the experience of students, staff, and visitors
  • Be the centerpiece for SAA’s vision for the future

Will You Help Leave a Legacy?

Sixty years ago a group of visionaries stepped out in faith and created the legacy that was and is Sacramento Union Academy/Sacramento Adventist Academy. Will you join us as stewards of God’s mission, and help create the next legacy for training students for a lifetime of learning and discipleship? Together we can build our community, grow the heart of the campus, and ensure the next 50 years of SAA.
